Neighbors Giving Thanks

A Moonveil Holiday Heart Project

Could you or someone you know use a little extra care this Thanksgiving?

You are welcome here.

Nominate yourself, your household, or someone you know for a Thanksgiving meal. No proof of hardship is required, nominations are private, and you may remain anonymous.

Private nominations close November 8.

Want to Help Fill a Table?

There are plenty of ways to help:

Donate food • Build a complete meal kit • Sponsor a dinner • Give a grocery gift card • Volunteer • Partner with us

Every contribution matters. You don't have to fill an entire table to make a difference.

Any surplus donations will be passed along to local food pantries and shelters.

Our standard meal kit feeds approximately 4–6 people:

Our story

Our Hope

Neighbors Giving Thanks started with a simple conversation between my husband and I: What if we could make Thanksgiving a little easier for a few families this year?  Then we thought, why stop there?

We know that needing a little help doesn't always look the way people expect. Sometimes it's a parent quietly stretching every dollar. Sometimes it's a family hit with an unexpected expense, someone spending their first holiday after a major life change, or simply a neighbor having a harder year than usual.

We know that asking for help isn't always easy so we wanted to create something different. No proving you're struggling enough. No sharing someone's story for recognition. No photos of the families we help. Just people in our community quietly taking care of one another.

What began as our plan to personally put together a couple of Thanksgiving dinners became Neighbors Giving Thanks when we realized other people might want to pull up a chair and help too.

Moonveil Cleaning is simply giving this project a place to begin.

The community is what will fill the tables.

With love,
Michele & Jean

We are starting local with a simple goal: fill five Thanksgiving tables this year with complete meals for families in our community. Five is only a starting point.

For every additional basket built, item donated, meal sponsored, or gift card given, we have the opportunity to reach another table. If our community shows up in a big way, we will keep going for as long as we can.

Our Promise

Kindness doesn't require an explanation.

There will be no proof of income, no requirement to prove hardship, and no expectation that anyone share more of their story than they're comfortable sharing.

The identities and circumstances of the people receiving meals will remain private.

Moonveil is simply providing a place for this project to begin but the generosity belongs to our community, and the dignity belongs to the families we serve.

Giving Quietly Is Welcome

Not everyone wants recognition for helping, and we completely respect that. Donations may be made anonymously. Businesses and community organizations can also choose whether they'd like to be publicly acknowledged. The households receiving meals will never be used for advertising or content. We will not publish their names, photographs or personal circumstances. After Thanksgiving, we'll simply share what all of us accomplished together.
